Techfest, the biggest event of the year for Vietnam’s start-up community will be back

Launched at November 25 to 29 in Da Nang, the beautiful city the most splendid beach, by the Ministry of Science and Technology chaired by the ‘Techfest, National Creative Innovation Day’. This annual event attracted a great deal of startups, investors and industry experts in Vietnam. Last year, Techfest, welcomed more than 4,000 participants and 250 startup businesses.

Techfest, is an annual activity within the framework of the project “Support for a National Innovation Initiative till 2025” approved by the Prime Minister on May 18, 2016.

TECHFEST 2018 in Danang Vietnam 

On Wednesday morning, TECHFEST 2018 was introduced to the press with the participation of Economic Committee of the Party Central Committee, Ministry of Science and Technology, Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Youth Union of Viet Nam and the People’s Committee of Danang City.

Accordingly, the TECHFEST 2018 will go into eight specialized areas of science and technology including the Innovation Supporting Community, Agricultural and Food Technology, Education Technology, Medical Technology Tourism Technology, Financial Technology, Industry 4.0 and Influencing Technology. In particular, the startup day will be focus in industrial revolution 4.0 with the orientation “Khởi Nghiệp 4.0 – Kết nối toàn cầu”.

In addition, the festival also brought many activities such as: “I love my country 2018” journey with the topic – Youth Innovation Innovation, Jumping to 4.0 Startup Competition; Innovative policy dialogue platform to develop innovative eco-innovation in the region; Conference on local innovative eco-innovation initiatives; The innovative technology contest 4.0.

TECHFEST 2018 aims to raise the spirit and culture of national start-up. With the launch in Da Nang, the city of key tourism, the ideal place to attract visitors to raise the fire of nation’s start-up movement. Da Nang attracting 6.6 million visitors last year with a total tourism revenue of over 19,000 billion VND, it has the opportunity to develop strongly, with the interest of the mass organizations to help. The quality of services has been improved, ensuring a healthy and sustainable development of the tourism industry. It is expected that this year’s start-up year will attract a significant number of participants to Techfest and may be significantly higher than last year.
